The minimum age limit for all eligible aspirants who are applying for the Railway Recruitment Boards should be not less than 18 years and the maximum age limit should not exceed 36 years as of 1st January 2024 for Technician Grade I Signal. That means candidates who are born before 2nd January 1987 and not later than 1st January 2006 can not apply for this post.

Selection Process for the Railway Recruitment Boards Recruitment for Technician Post 2024
1. Written Test- There will be a computer based test with a total of 100 questions. Aspirants will have only 90 minutes to answer all questions. Each question will contain negative marking. Each wrong answer will deduct one-third marks. There will be multiple shifts for the question paper.
The minimum percentage of marks will be different for different category people. For UR and EWS category there will 40% of marks required and for OBC there will be 50% of marks required to qualify. SC and ST category requires 30% and 25% to qualify for the second round of the selection process. Also these percentages have some relaxation of 2% for PwBD aspirants. The qualify aspirants will be shortlisted for the further processes.
2. Document Verification- After computer based tests, all aspirants who have passed with more than the required marks according to their category will be asked to show their original documents that are submitted while applying for the online application form. All the Educational certificates and related documents then got verified by the concerned
university or authority.
3. Personal Interview- Aspirants who have successfully passed the initial computer based test and document verification are usually notified for their last process that is a personal interview. This notification includes time, date and venue for the face to face meeting. The personal interview questions cover a wide range of topics that includes general knowledge of their core subject and communication skills and interpersonal skills.
